Paolo Lovat

Sound Engineer

Paolo Lovat, born in Milan in 1960, sound engineer since 1980:

He began to learn the profession by gaining experience in the most prestigious studios in Milan.

In the 80s, he was a sound engineer at the Jingle Machine in Milan, where he had the opportunity to

engage with national and international artists ranging across various pop, rock, and jazz genres.

his professional ability on analog equipment, he has the opportunity to learn

the organization of recording sessions, from the simplest to the most complex, following

and experimenting, with the musicians, the art of microphone recording.

Taking advantage of his wealth of experience, in 1987 he became a freelancer and collaborated with many

artists of great caliber, he refines a personal sound that leads him to be appreciated, both in

study than live.

A phase of live collaborations begins with Diane Schuur, Sorapis, Finardi, Ligabue at the top.

He is a sound designer and sound engineer for international and national spectacular events: Teatro Bellini

Summer Season 1998, Aida in Luxor 1997 & Aida in Cairo 1998/1999, Aida in Barcelona & Bilbao

2006.

In this period, he alternates live/studio experience, frequenting the most beautiful control rooms

of Italy (Excalibur, Esagono, Umbi studio, Fonoprint) and puts his signature on many

important productions: Ligabue, Sorapis, Rats, Tullio DePiscopo, Timoria, Mario Rosini, Mia

Martini, Roby Facchinetti....

With Maurizio Maggi, in the live recording sector (Ligabue live recording Arena di Verona 99,

Aterballetto “il Sogno” by Elvis Costello, Battiato) and at the same time has the fortune of following in

theatre a great master, Carmelo Bene.

He actively collaborates with Audioclassica for classical music mixing and streaming:
